Shiyou Peng is a Product Designer bridging the gap between immersive motion graphics and strategic UX design. With a background in 3D environments and a Master’s from the Royal College of Art, Shiyou brings a unique focus on timing, interaction, and responsiveness to digital interfaces.
Previously, Shiyou worked at Lili Studio, contributing to Red Dot Award winning projects. Currently pursuing an MSc in Project Management, Shiyou is focused on mastering the intersection of creative vision and operational leadership, with the ultimate goal of driving innovation as a Creative Director.

Lili Studio (SERVICEPLAN) | 3D & Interaction Designer | May 2021 – Jun 2024
During my tenure at Lili Studio, I specialised in bridging the gap between design and interactive development. I collaborated closely with development teams to design immersive spatial environments that were recognised with prestigious Red Dot and Cresta Awards. My role focused on translating complex visual concepts into technical reality, ensuring that the immersive elements supported a seamless and intuitive user journey.
Maia Digital | Co founder & Product Lead | Sep 2020 – Apr 2021
Stemming from my study at the Royal College of Art, I co founded Maia Digital to address the need for virtual social connection. I led the design and development of a multi purpose online social platform capable of hosting over 100 concurrent participants. This role required me to balance technical constraints with user needs, creating an accessible space for virtual exhibitions and communication.
GC Couture | Operations & Client Manager | Sep 2023 – Nov 2025
To round out my creative skillset with operational expertise, I managed end to end bespoke projects at GC Couture. My focus was on optimising internal processes to reduce friction in daily tasks and managing high stakes client relationships. This experience honed my ability to deliver projects within scope and solidified my understanding of the business side of design.

BrainStation & Google UX | UX Design Professional Certificate | Sep 2024 – Aug 2025
To formalise my transition into product design, I undertook rigorous training in User Experience Design through BrainStation and Google. This period was dedicated to mastering the analytical side of design, moving beyond visuals to focus on user retention risks and market gap analysis. I applied these methodologies to build original mobile applications from concept to final UI, learning to optimise complex user journeys to reduce cognitive load. This education provided the structural framework that now underpins my creative decisions.
Royal College of Art | MA Digital Direction | Sep 2019 – Mar 2021
My time at the RCA was defined by exploring the intersection of narrative and technology. Specialising in Digital Direction, I researched how users interact with immersive spaces and multi media storytelling. This experience was foundational to my understanding of "User Experience" beyond the screen. Notably, I designed and facilitated workshops for neurodiverse children, a project that instilled in me a deep commitment to accessibility and inclusive design practices.
Camberwell College of Arts | BA Fine Art Photography | Sep 2016 – Jun 2019
My undergraduate studies provided a strong foundation in visual hierarchy and composition. While focusing on photography, I developed the ability to see projects through a strategic lens, serving as the lead organiser for the graduation exhibition where I managed the spatial layout and logistics for a large scale public event.
